The cost is fair, the staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and the first place I'd recommend to anyone. As an old disabled US Vet they help me every time.
The folks at Melvin's really went above and beyond to help us out. We're a retired couple living on a small income of mostly SSI and live full-time in a 23-year-old Coach. While heading back to Maine we had an alternator fail. Gander RV refused to work on it as did Continental truck. Melvins had us in the shop at 1, fixed & out by 5! And at 1/4th what most places would charge. OUTSTANDING???? ...Yes - a happy camper.

As always I was met with both professional courtesy and competent auto care. The best part however is their honesty. I thought I had a bad power steering pump but not the case. They just as easily said yes that was the problem but didn't.
It really doesn't get any better than this. This is how a repair shop should be run. The only way I could be more pleased is if it was free. I'm in the St. Augustine area for a few weeks for work. Last Sunday my diesel truck died on the highway and left me stranded, I had to call a tow truck. I had no idea where to have the truck towed. The driver suggested Melvin's. Monday morning they called to say they were working on it and by Monday afternoon it was fixed and ready for pick-up. The repair charges were reasonable. Let me say that again, fixed in less than 24 hours and fixed right, at a reasonable price. Thanks Melvin's!!
