It’s not always easy to recognize when your vehicle is suffering from a simple problem that requires a little maintenance and TLC or there is real engine damage as symptoms can be overlooked and seen as “normal.” While not all sounds and smells may threaten the life of your car or truck engine, there are some obvious warning signs that require a vehicle inspection here at the shop right away.
I put a transmission in my truck several years ago! It's a '97 Z71 so I was not sure if it was worth fixing. It has worked out great! I use it to go fishing every weekend and it drives better than it ever has! I am glad that I purchased a quality transmission that I know will keep me on the lake instead of in the garage! THANKS JASPER!!! - Brian F.
Great customer service. Adam was the guy I was dealing with in the office and he was very kind to me even tho I pulled up 40 minutes before closing. Needed to get my oil changed on my 2015 sprinter cargo van and he didn't hesitate to get a team to perform the job quicker to get it done. Awesome place, would recommend to others. - Sergey N.
Ken Hooper of Blue Mound, Illinois, recently purchased a project vehicle. It's a stretched Jeep body on a 1980 K20 4x4 chassis. Ken said, "this vehicle has been driven on the road for many years, but it's also been a very dependable mud truck and still runs and drives great." Currently, the vehicle is undergoing an overhaul, the engine and transmission are still in great working order and will not be replaced. JASPER's technical support helped determine that the vehicle's transmission is a Turbo 400, remanufactured by Jasper Engines & Transmissions back in 1989. Ken said, "this transmission has lasted for many years longer than the original. Thank you, JASPER."
